Rome wasn’t built in a day right?
Neither was Mount Everest Climbed in one.
That’s why they have Climbing experts or guides, with the plan, to get you to the top and back safely.
Without that plan and guide…
Your just not giving yourself a fair shot.
The hardest part of setting the goal is actually sitting down to do it. But once you muster up the will power and get to work on setting your goals the process becomes a lot easier.
Check out Michael Georgiou’s post about SMART Goals here https://startupnation.com/start-your-business/smart-goal-setting-business/ The R in the acronym smart is crucial because you have to have a balance between ‘aiming high and being realistic about what you can do in a timely manner
The Build Up
All great things take time. Don’t rush it. Especially when you’re just starting out in business understand that you may know exactly what you want to do, but hold onto that vision of having your business be successful and what you want to do will reveal itself to you if you…

The 3-5-10 Plan
When you finally know what you want to accomplish and some goals that you have in mind then you can create the 3-5-10 plan.
- What you want to accomplish within a three year period
- What you want to accomplish within a 5 year period
- What you want to accomplish withing a 10 year period
This plan is critical because it keeps you grounded when you’re starting your business or setting new goals for an old business. There’s going to be times when you just don’t want anything to do with your business during a period of time. During this time your not going to want to show up to the office and work but when you look up and see ‘The 3-5-10 plan’ you completed a year back, it will keep you motivated and moving towards completing your goals and improving your business.
Some days it will feel like you didn’t accomplish anything. Some days you may not have the energy but show up. Even if it’s for 5 minutes be present and consistent with your vision that you aim to accomplish.
