Do you even look at the background of your phone anymore, because you’ve had it on your phone or desktop for so long? Are you a goal setter? Do you have trouble hitting your goals sometimes and you ask yourself… “Why didn’t I hit that goal?”
Let me make a suggestion… Change your backgrounds and passwords!!
It might not be a huge change in your life, but it can make a difference in the long run.
The little things matter in life and when you start to notice them you’ll see some pretty big changes occur.
Recently, I changed my lock screen on my phone to a favorite quote of mine related to my career, my home screen to a picture reminding me I need to schedule a time to meet up with an old friend, and my passwords to things or words inspiring me and my desktop to a picture motivating me to keep moving forward in my life and career.
This was crucial for me because I’ve been in a personal rut recently so I went back to the drawing board. In other words, I did a little “reminder/reset” time. Which to me means, writing down my current goals again, write down some new goals, people I want to stay in touch with, financial goals/debts, etc. During this time I also do a little “maintenance work.” I check out my current eating habits, spare time habits, look through my notebooks and go over my phone and laptop.
This helps me get back in the game and get me on the right track to continue moving in the right direction towards my goals.
It also reminds me that these little adjustments in my life will help me in the long run. It might not show up right away but with patience you will see results.
Down the road, if I need to make more adjustments, I’ll do this routine again with the same intentions.
Usually I do this once a month.
Try it out… change your backgrounds and see what difference it makes in your life.
